Version 1.1
Download VideoGlance
VideoGlance is free, with no account, no subscription and no ads. The disk image is signed and checked by Apple.
System requirements
- System
- macOS 15 Sequoia or later
- Mac
- Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later)
- Price
- Free, for personal or professional use
VideoGlance has been tested on macOS 15 Sequoia. Later versions of macOS haven’t been tested yet, and Macs with an Intel processor aren’t supported for now.
Installing VideoGlance
- Download the VideoGlance-1.1-46-arm64.dmg disk image and open it.
- Drag VideoGlance to the Applications folder.
- Select an MKV video in Finder and press Space.
On the first preview, or if you open VideoGlance, macOS asks you to confirm opening an app downloaded from the internet: click Open. After that, there’s nothing to launch day to day: macOS calls on VideoGlance whenever you preview a supported video.
With Homebrew
If you already install your apps with Homebrew:
brew install --cask kwadz/videoglance/videoglance
Homebrew adds VideoGlance’s repository, checks the disk image’s checksum and puts the app in the Applications folder. VideoGlance doesn’t need any other Homebrew package.
Updating or uninstalling
To update, close any open previews, then replace VideoGlance in the Applications folder with the new version. With Homebrew: brew upgrade --cask videoglance.
To uninstall, move VideoGlance from the Applications folder to the Trash. With Homebrew: brew uninstall --cask videoglance.
